"There's daggers in men's smiles"

Macbeth Buckle Up Theatre

Re-imagined as a cold war nightmare, and in a world where evil is ordered by quiet men in white collars, horn rimmed glasses and brown overcoats, Macbeth is a senior operative in the stiflingly shabby world of the secret police. Consumed by paranoia and double-think, he manoeuvres his way to the top of the service with whispered conversations in corridors, violence in the shadows and by trusting nobody.

Perhaps a slightly different production to what you would expect from Buckle Up Theatre - not a new play and certainly not a comedy.

This is a highly charged, physical performance involving transformation of objects and actors in multi-role, something Buckle Up Theatre specialise in.

This production toured to Lithuania as part of the 'Nation's Wings' festival in Telsiai, Lithuanian City of Culture 2016.
